Alina is a passionate foreign language trainer with a background of more than 20 years teaching Spanish. For several years, she was the Head of the Spanish Department of a Cervantes Institute accredited center in Madrid. She moved to San Diego, where she coaches executives, professionals and individuals who have a deep interest in communicating and making business in Spanish. Alina also tutors students from Middle and High School, as well as College students.
In the business sector, she has a relevant experience creating and programming Immersion Courses for executives and professionals, as well as designing Business Skills Courses (writing skills, interviewing skills, presentations, meetings…) Working in a leadership training and educational company in Madrid, allowed her to develop a comprehensive portfolio of programs related with building communications skills, professional training and customized solutions for cultural competency.
Alina teaches General and Business Spanish, in a variety of levels, with a keen focus on communication skills. She always places a heavy emphasis on hands-on experience in the classroom.
Alina speaks English, French and Portuguese, in addition to Spanish, her native language. She was born and grew up in Madrid, and she has lived in Belgium, Brazil, and the United States.
Alina enjoys reading, going to the movies, yoga, cooking, hiking, and spending time with her family and friends.
